Tales From the Pit: Polterguts and Friends Alive @ Platypus, 1.28.26

Benefitting Migrant & Immigrant Community Action, or M.I.C.A., the cash raised at the doors went toward helping ensure our neighbors have the resources they need to be safe and well-taken care of in our shared homeland.

Of the couple shows I’ve been to at this venue, the turn out is always very inspiring. It’s interesting to me…having been told for so much of my life what villainy awaited for me in the ‘secular’ world. How certain music prompts the devil. That so-called degenerates are self-centered, immoral, and a threat to our society.

Well the so-called degenerates saw the injustice in our country and they decided to take immediate action to gather resources together and create a stronger sense of community, while the zealots are busy sitting at home online pontificating who in our country the federal government has the right to execute…..so there goes that notion I guess.

Last night’s bill originally had a few touring bands from Texas, but due to the recent snow it ended up being a local show through and through. Four St Louis bands took the stage. When you’re married to the guitarist in one of the bands and you’re a photographer, you gotta do your thing while he does his.
