To be considered as a vendor for the Belleville Indie Market, you will need to meet the following criteria:
-Be local to Belleville or the Saint Louis Metropolitan, both sides of the river welcomed!
-In business for at least 1 year
-Have an online presence [social media or website]
-Must NOT be a representative of someone else’s company [no MLMs] or use dropshipping services
HANDCRAFTERS & ARTISTS:
-100% of your product needs to be of your own making or significantly altered using your own hands before sale: this can include products you outsource as long as the art or design is your original work.
“Handcrafters” may apply to clothing or accessory makers, knitting or crochet, macrame, wood working, cross stitch, upcycling, etc
“Artists” may apply to any form of mixed media, painting, sculpting, printmaking, photography etc
These metrics are only used as a guide.
VINTAGE SELLERS:
-Your items should be true vintage and should not contain any fast fashion brands [lululemon, temu, shein, tj maxx, etc] unless you or your team has significantly altered the piece or has incorporated vintage elements before resale.
Along with this, your items should be clean, in good condition, ethically sourced and priced fairly and appropriately.
“Vintage” may apply to Vintage clothing, vintage décor, “collectibles” etc
OTHER CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS:
-Both non-profit & for-profit businesses or organizations who don’t fit in the above categories are still welcome to apply for a booth provided their enterprise still meets the general vendor criteria above. Where applicable, service based businesses must provide a valid certificate, license, or credential for consideration which must be displayed on market night.
Depending on your business, you may need additional licensure from the City. It is the sole responsibility of participants to do their research and have proper paperwork.
Other entrepreneurs may include massage therapist, yoga or personal health/fitness, tarot reader, community engagement or services, etc
Please note: Belleville does not allow the sale of any cannabis products.
