Meet Nina…

“Nina” is our vintage 1977 Chevrolet Camper RV! After years and years of dreaming of a vintage camper, she finally became a reality for us a few years ago. After a LOT hard work [and time, and energy, and money] restoring and modernizing her, we’re finally able to debut her to her fullest potential!

I had seen other kick ass people repurpose vintage campers in the past and was super inspired by them. A multi-disciplined artist needs a multi-purpose vehicle, and so the concept of Nina being part of the Honeyverse materialized. My original plan was to find a vintage RV and gut it so the inside could be as multi purpose as possible. But then I found Nina, and discovered—under some questionable upholstery choices— that she was still nearly all-original. I realized I hadn’t found a junker to rehab…I found a time machine deserving to be restored!

…and then we were like, “Nina, girl, you only get 10 miles to the gallon? :[ “ Yikes…

With today’s gas prices those mpg’s really matter, y’all. So, a happy medium on Nina’s present fate was reached. We removed some outdated and unnecessary equipment like the stove and refrigerator, and made the camper from yesterday the camper of the future, today. No matter what, when Nina arrives on the scene, you might feel like you’re lost in time. Expect to get funky!

Summer of ‘66

My husband and I are setting sail on our maiden voyage with Nina [longer than a few hours] this summer! On our trip, I’ll be using the camper as a studio on wheels, creating some one-of-a-kind pieces of Americana art along the way.

We’re lucky to be based just a short drive away from the iconic Route 66. While most of our portion of the mother road has been discontinued, we still live in an area that takes a lot of pride in our being on the original highway’s path.

We’re hopping on the Mother Road this summer and making our way to Lake Michigan to see the Dunes. During the trip I’ll be documenting the experience & offering one-of-a-kind art pieces on a commission basis.

It’s a short trip, so I’ll have very limited spots! Commissions can be reserved on June 1st 2025.
