AGREEMENT:
By paying your vendor fee to participate at the Belleville Indie Market, you are agreeing to follow the below outlined rules. If you violate any of these rules you will be asked to leave and you will not be asked to participate in any future event.
1. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. This payment includes one 10x10 ft space. Vendors are responsible for any and all equipment they require. Vendors will not have access to electricity. Please make sure you bring battery or solar operated lighting.
3. This event is rain or shine, excluding extreme circumstances should they arise, in which a reschedule date shall be provided. Prepare for the uncertainty of midwest weather & outdoor events. In the event of extreme hazardous weather, the rescheduled date is always the following SUNDAY. We will let vendors know ASAP should we need to reschedule.
4.The use of a pop up canopy or tent is strongly encouraged. There will be no shade or cover on the street.
Use of canopies or tents requires weights; NO EXCEPTIONS. How you weigh your tent/canopy is at your discretion. Tents/canopies will be checked prior to opening to the public. If you set up a tent/canopy without weight, you will be asked to remove it and/or leave to go get weights.
This is for the safety of all participating vendors, nearby homes and businesses and market attendees and is a requirement of the Fire Department.
5. Booths shall appear professional, organized, pleasing to the eye, clean, and free of any graphic, violent, or insensitive content including (but not limited to) nude/lewd imagery, any form of hate speech, racial slurs, cultural appropriation, or other content deemed harmful or threatening by the event organizer. Such content will not be tolerated for any reason and will result in a removal from the market.
6. Each vendor is responsible for their own booth set up and tear down. No assistance from the event organizer will be guaranteed, please plan accordingly.
7. Vendors are responsible for removing everything from their spot at the end of the event, including all trash--including ZIP TIES. Vendors who leave behind anything at their space will be invoiced a clean up fee and will be barred from participating in any future events.
8. Vendors will be allowed onto the market for set up 2 hours before market start time. Please do not arrive earlier.
9. Vendors may not begin tear down until AFTER the event end time (9 PM) unless they receive specific permission from the event organizer to do so. Prepare for a busy day and bring plenty of your product. Vendors who disregard this and tear down early anyway will not be asked to participate in future events.
10. Vendors will have to be completely removed from the market by 11 PM to re-open to downtown traffic.
11. Vendors will most likely NOT be the only vendor in their category, however this market is curated & mapped by the organizer. Vendors should view other vendors selling similar wares as their community, not their competition. You will not be set up directly next to another vendor in your category. Any vendor caught causing drama or division will be asked to leave and will not be asked to participate in future markets.
12. FOOD & BEVERAGE VENDORS/TRUCKS:
Food and beverage vendors are responsible for obtaining their own state and city licenses and permits. The City of Belleville requires all vendors to acquire a permit to operate within the City. You must provide the event organizer proof of license and permit prior to vending. City of Belleville website.
By submitting this payment, you are agreeing to the following:
I agree to follow all market rules as outlined in this agreement, and I understand that this relates only to the products and equipment listed herein and that any further products or equipment will require market organizer approval. I certify that the above are produced in accordance with all county, state and federal laws. I understand the fee for this event is non-refundable and non-transferrable for any reason.
I understand and acknowledge my sole responsibility to collect state sales tax on behalf of my own company or business. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Belleville Indie Market or its organizers from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action which are in any way connected with my participation in this event or activity, or my use of their equipment or facilities, arising from negligence. This release does not apply to claims arising from intentional conduct. Should The Belleville Indie Market or anyone acting on their behalf be required to incur attorney’s fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
